Charles was born in Scotland, and brought up there and in South Africa. He studied in Manchester, Sheffield, Durham and New York, and completed a PhD on the relationship between theology and economics. He worked for two years as an Advice Worker in inner-city Birmingham, spent twelve years in parish ministry in Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent, and four years as a university chaplain in Keele, before moving to St Peters in 2015.
Heike was born and raised in Germany before coming to the UK when she got married to Alistair; they have three adult sons and a granddaughter. Heike worked as a PA and administrator in publishing, IT and education before qualifying as a direction and leadership coach, and is passionate about seeing and developing potential in others. She studied theology at St Mellitus College, London, and trained as an ordinand at Chelmsford Cathedral.
Heike loves long walks with her dog, likes good conversation over a meal (preferably one she didn’t cook), and is partial to Scottish whisky.
