Who’s who

Charles was born in Scotland, and brought up there and in South Africa. He studied architecture, history, economics, and theology in Manchester, Sheffield, Durham and New York, and completed a PhD on the relationship between theology and economics. He worked for two years as an Advice Worker in inner-city Birmingham, spent twelve years in parish ministry in Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent, and four years as a university chaplain in Keele, before moving to St Peters in 2015.
