Notes for electoral roll

Membership of the electoral roll allows you to stand for the PCC, serve as a church officer, and to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

To join the electoral roll, you either need to be resident in St Peter's parish, or come regularly to worship at St Peter's. To find out if you live in St Peter's parish, search for your address on A CHURCH NEAR YOU website. Please note that the requirement for regular worship does not apply for the period when the church was closed for worship, or if you have been unable to attend because of concerns over covid.

The only Churches at present in communion with the Church of England are other Anglican Churches and certain foreign Churches. Membership of the Electoral Roll is also open to members in good standing of a Church which is not in communion with the Church of England, but which subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, and where those members are also prepared to declare themselves to be members of the Church of England.

Those who have completed an application to join the electoral roll since the last revision in 2019 do not need to re-apply. If you have any questions or difficulties with this form, please approach the clergy or lay people responsible for the parish, who will be pleased to help you.
