New pattern of Sunday worship

Building on what we were doing before the summer holidays, and following discussion at the PCC, we want to trial a slightly new pattern of Sunday worship this term, beginning on 5th September. This will involve offering a short 9 am Family Worship most weeks, as well as offering Sunday clubs and a crèche at the 10.30 am Communion.

So from September 2021 the new pattern will be:

First Sunday of each month:
8 am Holy Communion (said)
10.30 am All Age Communion (short family-friendly communion, with children to stay in church)

All other Sundays in the month:
8 am Holy Communion (said)
9 am Family Worship (25 minutes, with bible story, songs, and craft activity for children)
10.30 am Holy Communion (with crèche and Sunday clubs for children)

We hope this won’t be too disruptive or confusing! But the intention here is to try to expand our provision for children and families, and to help us grow our congregation. But we will need to keep this under review to see how it is working, so do please give your feedback to the vicar or other members of the PCC as we experiment with this pattern of worship.

We’re also pleased to say that EVENING PRAYER will now be running twice a month, at 6.30 pm on the first and third Sundays of the month.
