Covid safety in church

In light of government regulations, face masks are now compulsory in church (unless you are exempt, or aged under 11), and we ask members of the congregation to wear them even when singing during worship.

We also encourage (but do not require) everyone to take a lateral flow test before coming to services or other church events. Tests are freely available from most pharmacists, or can be ordered directly from the GOVERNMENT WEBSITE.

NHS covid passes are not required at places of worship, though obviously all those with covid symptoms or who have tested positive for covid will not be able to attend worship or church events.

Some individuals will understandably want to exercise caution, and avoid large gatherings or indoor events; Sunday morning worship will continue to be live-streamed for those who need to stay at home.

For more information, the government’s COVID REGULATIONS are available online, as is the CHURCH OF ENGLAND’S COVID GUIDANCE.
