Funeral for Stephen Haude

January 14 @ 1:45 pm

A Funeral and Requiem Mass at St Peter’s Church to give thanks for the life and pray for the soul of Steve Haude; followed by (at his request and in his own words) ‘a big knees up’ afterwards at the Cross Keys Pub.

We are grateful to Steve’s executor and fellow verger Denise Mead for all her work helping to organise the service, and to all those who have agreed to take part in so many different ways. We also want to express our gratitude to James Guest (the Chair of Northfields Surgery PPG, a group in which Steve was an active member for many years) who has produced a wonderful document of PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORIES of Steve’s stunning cakes over the years, together with comments from Steve himself.

Please note that in accordance with government regulations, face masks are now compulsory for church services (unless you are exempt or aged under 11), and we ask members of the congregation to wear them even when singing during worship. Those who attend are also encouraged to take a lateral flow test beforehand if possible.

For those who are not able to be present, the service will be live-streamed, and remain available for viewing subsequently. To watch the service, click the link below, which will go live at 1.45 pm on the day. You can also download the ORDER OF SERVICE.

(To enlarge the video to full screen, click the small square in the bottom right hand corner of the YouTube player that will appear when the service is live. To hear the full sound from the service, you will need to make sure you are listening in stereo; you may also need to adjust the volume on the YouTube player and also on your computer.)
