“THE FABERGE CONNECTION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND ENGLAND”
Thursday 16th September, 7.30pm.
A talk by Cynthia Coleman Sparke, exploring the Edwardian demand for treasures from St Petersburg. Free entry with bar and retiring collection.
Cynthia Sparke is a regular worshipper at St Peter’s, and the author of ‘Russian Decorative Arts’. She ran the Russian department at Christie’s New York; and has worked with the Fabergé and Imperial porcelain holdings of the Hillwood Museum in Washington DC, and at the Alexander Palace in St Petersburg.
The talk comes in advance of the V&A exhibition ‘Faberge in London’ opening on 11th November (https://www.vam.ac.uk/exhibitions/faberge).
