Event Navigation
Join us for the third of our Quidam in Discussion evenings, with Ian Black – Middle East editor and foreign leader writer for The Guardian, now a visiting senior fellow at the Middle East Centre, LSE – who will be discussing Arabic-Jewish history and contemporary politics.
Ian Black’s latest book is Enemies and Neighbours: Arabs and Jews in Palestine and Israel, 1917-2017, was described by The Times as “comprehensive and compelling.. a nuanced, landmark study that has deservedly won plaudits from Palestinian and Israeli histories”, and won Book of the Year 2017, in The Economist, Sunday Times, Financial Times, and The Guardian.
Event starts at 8.15 pm, with doors open at 8 pm. For those who can make it, we’ve arranged a £20 supper deal at the Carpenter’s Arms, with a meal beforehand at 6.30pm, and pudding/cheese/coffee after the talk. Please book directly with the Carpenter’s Arms.
