Holy Communion (with Act of Remembrance)

14th November 2021 @ 10:30 am

All are welcome to a service of Holy Communion for Remembrance Sunday, with the last post and reveille, laying of the wreath, two minutes silence, and the National Anthem. Face masks are optional, but for the time being those who attend are asked to continue to observe social distancing in church, and communion will be offered in one kind (that is, wafer only).

A crèche is provided for babies or very young children during the service in one of the meeting rooms at the back of church; children in the crèche will need to be accompanied by a parent. During school term-time, a Sunday Club for older children is also provided each week during the service, with a story and craft activity suitable for children; the club is run by a volunteer Sunday school teacher, but children who attend will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult.

Children are otherwise welcome to sit with parents during the service (colouring packs are available at the back of the church; do ask a steward as you come in if you would like one), or may prefer to attend the short Family Worship each Sunday at 9 am.

Anyone with potential COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough, a high temperature, or loss of or change to sense of smell or taste) should self-isolate at home. For those who can’t attend in person, SUNDAY WORSHIP is steamed every Sunday via St Peter’s YouTube channel.
