Virus as a Summons to Faith, by Walter Brueggemann (Professor of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary, Georgia).

How does the bible help us think about COVID? In this short series of reflections, one of the world’s leading Old Testament scholars shows us how the bible might refresh our imagination and both think and see differently in our current crisis. It’s a book which does not offer easy answers, but invites us to explore the strange world of the bible, to challenge our modern preoccupations and assumptions.

If you are interested, we’ll be gathering on Zoom to read and discuss Virus as a Summons to Faith, from 12-1pm, on Wednesday 16th and 23rd September. The link for the Zoom is  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84640576430

If you want to get a head start on the next book we’re reading, you can order Stories We Tell Ourselves, by Richard Holloway, former Bishop of Edinburgh.
