All Age Communion for Harvest
October 2 @ 10:30 am
All are welcome to a short lively celebration of Communion for Harvest, with music, songs, and a talk aimed at the whole family. A crèche will be available for those with babies or very young children; otherwise, the service should be suitable for children of all ages!
As usual we will collecting food donations for local charities. THE UPPER ROOM in Wendell Park have asked particularly for canned fish/meat/soup/pulses/vegetables; jarred sauces, olive/cooking oil, vinegar, and seasonings (stock cubes, bouillon powder, curry powder/paste, tomato puree); dried foods (rice, spaghetti, couscous); biscuits, instant coffee/tea bags; and long life milk and long life squash/juice. They also welcome disposable razors and shaving foam; soap, shampoo, shower gel, body lotion; deodorant, nail clippers; sleeping bags. Download the FULL LIST here.
Do stay for the bring-your-own HARVEST LUNCH immediately after the service. All invited to bring food to eat and share, and join in a relaxed lunch in the parish rooms or (hopefully!) in the church garden. Cash bar.
