Have your say on new Parking Restrictions

Hammersmith and Fulham Council are currently consulting on proposed increases to parking restrictions in the area around St Peter’s Church.

Their proposal is to extend parking restrictions EVERY EVENING till 10 pm and over the WHOLE WEEKEND, with a maximum of TWO HOURS allowable parking.

In practice, that would mean that all non-residents who drive to St Peter’s for Sunday worship, or for evening or weekend events such as concerts, will have to pay to park, and will only be able to stay for 2 hours. As vicar, I believe this would have a disastrous effect on the life of the church, many of those (and especially the elderly) who attend, and the numerous community events we host.

Please express your views on these proposals via the online consultation form at  www.lbhf.gov.uk/zoneM; you can also email directly to enquiries@lbhfparking.com and/or to Parkingpolicy@lbhf.gov.uk

In addition, I encourage you to write directly to the local councillors for the Ravenscourt Ward, Liz Collins (liz.collins@lbhf.gov.uk) and Patrick Walsh (patrick.walsh@lbhf.gov.uk); and the local MP, Andy Slaughter (andy@andyslaughter.com).

The deadline for the consultation process has been extended to 12th December.
