SUMMARY:Midsummer Night's Dream
DESCRIPTION:Following the success last year of As you like it\, Shakespeare in the Squares return to St Peter’s Square this summer with a performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream\, on Saturday 6th July.\n\n  \n\nShakespeare in the Squares is a not-for-profit touring theatre company that stages a Shakespeare play in London garden squares for one night in each venue every summer. The productions are tailored to the individual garden squares\, and they work with the garden committees and other local organisations to create a unique community celebration around the play. They aim to provide a showcase for talented young theatre practitioners and introduce audiences to the stars of the future. Actors are paid Equity recommended rates and the productions are innovative\, exciting and of the highest professional standard. Productions are funded through a combination of ticket sales\, grants and sponsorship from local businesses and organisations . \n  \n\n\n  \nThe Stage described last year’s production as “laid-back and bubbly\, making the most of the play’s comedy\, Shakespeare in the Squares have Forests of Arden well and truly sorted\, having selected some of London’s most beautiful squares and gardens to perform in. SUMMARY:Shakespeare in St Peter's Square
DESCRIPTION:It is with tremendous excitement that we embark upon the third year of Shakespeare in the Squares\, with a new production of As You Like It\, Shakespeare’s enchanting comedy of love\, desire and mistaken identity which we are setting in the late 60s/early 70s\, with the bucolic atmosphere of a rural music festival. \nThe production will be directed by Tatty Hennessy who directed last year’s highly successful production of Romeo and Juliet. To buy tickets\, or to see details of the production and the cast (when announced)\, please see our website at www.shakespeareinthesquares.co.uk. \nThe performance will be in St Peter’s Square\, on Saturday 7th July\, beginning promptly at 7pm and will be over by approximately 9.30 pm. The Square will be open for picnics from 5.30 pm.  Details of the bar and catering facilities will follow. \nDame Judi Dench\, CH\, DBE\, FRSA\, Patron of Shakespeare in the Squares says: \n“I’m so pleased that last year’s season of Shakespeare in the Squares went so well.
