SUMMARY:Family Worship in church
DESCRIPTION:Short\, lively worship with music\, bible story\, craft activity and prayers for children and families! \nUnder COVID\, Family Worship is obviously be a bit different from usual!  We are not allowed to sing – but we can still do the actions! – and there will be no refreshments afterwards. As you would expect\, those who come will have to socially distance in household groups\, but we estimate we have space for at least 25 family groups downstairs\, and up to another 20 upstairs if need be (some with restricted viewing). \nEvery other pew has been roped off\, there is plenty of hand sanitiser at the entrances\, and adults will have to wear masks (but not children under 11).

SUMMARY:Holy Communion in church
DESCRIPTION:A celebration of Holy Communion\, with music and choir (but no congregational singing)\, a short sermon\, and communion offered in one kind (that is\, wafer only). Those who attend will need to use the hand sanitiser provided and to wear masks\, and pews will be cleaned between services. \nBecause of the need to observe social distancing\, we estimate we can accommodate roughly 50 people in the main body of the church\, with additional capacity in the upstairs gallery (including some seating with restricted views). Those from the same household can obviously sit together. \nThose who are shielding or vulnerable\, whether on the basis of age or underlying conditions\, will need to think carefully about whether they feel safe to attend. We also cannot as yet offer crèche facilities or Sunday Clubs for children; and children who attend will therefore need to be able to sit with parents throughout\, and avoid breaching social distancing guidelines. \nAnyone with potential COVID-19 symptoms (a new continuous cough\, a high temperature\, or loss of or change to sense of smell or taste) should self-isolate at home\, and will therefore not be allowed into church. \nFor the time being\, PRE-RECORDED SUNDAY WORSHIP will continue to be available online\, and uploaded to YouTube late on Saturday evening as usual. \n

DESCRIPTION:Now we are worshipping regularly back in church\, and also have our choir singing again\, we want to change how we offer online worship. So instead of pre-recording worship each week\, over the next few weeks we will be experimenting with filming our 10.30 am Sunday Communion Service\, and making it available to watch online. \nTo watch Sunday Worship which was recorded earlier today\, press the play button on the YouTube player below. A copy of the ORDER OF SERVICE is also available for download. \n  \n \n  \nGoing forward\, we hope to be able to stream the service live\, so that you can watch at home as it happens at 10.30 am\, or at any time after that. There are a few technical challenges to doing this\, as we want to use several camera angles (which will therefore need to be mixed live!)\, and ensure that audio quality is up to scratch; we also need to upgrade our church broadband to cope with live-streaming! So please bear with us\, and give us your feedback! \nBut we can assure you that we are committed to continuing to offer online worship for all those who are not able physically to come to the church; and to ensuring that all those at home can continue to participate by reading bible lessons or prayers. You are a valued part of our church community! \n

DESCRIPTION:Today\, for the first time\, we are hoping to livestream our 10.30 am service of Holy Communion from church\, rather than record it and upload it later! All being well\, if the technology works (!)\, you should be able to join us live for Sunday Worship for Harvest on St Peter’s YouTube channel starting at 10.30 am. (The service will also be available as a recording later\, if you are not able to join us live.) \n  \n \n  \nYou can also download a copy of the ORDER OF SERVICE\, so you can join in the words and follow the readings. You may want to print this out in advance\, or open it in a new window on your computer\, so you are able to have YouTube open on your screen as well as the order of service. \nAs we go forward\, we’ll try to find ways of putting the words on the screen\, and adding words for the hymns – whilst those in church are not allowed sing\, members of the congregation at home are positively encouraged to sing along! In the meantime\, if you’d like to join in the hymns at home\, please email the office\, and we’ll arrange to deliver a hymn book to your house! \nDo give us feedback. It’s quite a technical challenge to livestream\, so please bear with us – we will get better! \n

DESCRIPTION:A celebration of Harvest Festival! \nIn view of the restricted capacity of the building\, and the usual size of our congregations\, this year we are suggesting that children and families come to the 9 AM service this morning if possible\, which will be a short and lively child-friendly Communion on the theme of Harvest (though of course they are still welcome at 10.30!); whilst the 10.30 AM service will be a more traditional Communion with harvest hymns and music from the choir. \nAs usual\, we’ll be collecting donations at both services for THE UPPER ROOM charity and the HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM FOODBANK. Both organisations have details of the kinds of contributions they particularly need at this time\, which you can find by clicking on the links above. \nFor those who are unable to come to church in person\, the 10.30 am service will be recorded and available on the St Peter’s  YOUTUBE  channel as usual.
