Holy Communion (sung)

12th December 2021 @ 10:30 am

All are welcome to a celebration of Holy Communion, with sermon, congregational singing, and music from the choir.

A crèche is provided for babies or very young children during the service in one of the meeting rooms at the back of church; children in the crèche will need to be accompanied by a parent. During school term-time, a Sunday Club for older children is also provided each week during the service, with a story and craft activity suitable for children; the club is run by a volunteer Sunday school teacher, but children who attend will need to be accompanied by a parent or adult.

Children are otherwise welcome to sit with parents during the service (colouring packs are available at the back of the church; do ask a steward as you come in if you would like one), or may prefer to attend the short Family Worship each Sunday at 9 am.

Please note that in accordance with new government regulations, face masks are now compulsory for church services (unless you are exempt or aged under 11), and we ask members of the congregation to wear them even when singing during worship.

Those who attend worship or other church events are also encouraged (but not required) to take a lateral flow test beforehand. Tests are freely available from most pharmacists, or can be ordered directly from the government website at https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

NHS covid passes are NOT currently required at places of worship, though obviously all those with covid symptoms or who have tested positive for covid will need to self-isolate at home. For those who can’t attend in person, SUNDAY WORSHIP is steamed every Sunday via St Peter’s YouTube channel.
