David Coram

It was with intense sadness and shock that we received news earlier this month of the tragic and unexpected death of our hugely talented and much loved director of music, David Coram.

David has been such a central figure to our life as a church community in his time here, and St Peter’s was hugely important to him. We hold him, all those who loved him, and especially his two young children, in our thoughts and prayers.

David's funeral is on 25th February in Salisbury, and will be a small service for family and close friends. It will be followed by a large memorial service on Saturday 4th May here at St Peter's, to which David's friends and colleagues from London and further afield are warmly invited. In the meantime, a Book of Condolence is available in the church for those who want to write words of tribute.

The sermon preached by the Revd Heike Prentice at St Peter's on the Sunday after we learned of David's death (2nd February) is available here.

Do also read this lovely tribute to him from Annie Riddle, a member of the Salisbury Community Choir which David also directed, published in the Salisbury Journal.
