Community

Racing at Harvest Festival
Community is hugely important at St Peter’s, and we love to enjoy ourselves!
We organise many different sorts of events throughout the year and everyone is welcome.
The annual St Peter’s Patronal Festival is held at the end of June. It is a week long event, filled with art, music, activities and fun.
For several years we have held a Dog Show in St Peter’s Square with stalls and plenty of entertainment for local people.
The Festival week culminates with the Patronal Service and an al fresco lunch in the gardens when we enjoy excellent food, wine and company (while Smartie Artie entertains the children).
Events for Children
We love to plan special events for children.
Favourites include the Mothering Sunday, Easter and Christmas Art Days, the much loved Teddy Bear’s picnic, and the very popular Easter Egg Hunt in our beautiful garden.

Other activities
We hold regular jumble sales and book sales and an annual Mini Olympics event which takes place in St Peter’s Square in July.
Regular social events include safari suppers which are a great way to meet people over supper in different homes.
Other events such as quiz nights, Art Preview evenings, and many of our wonderful choral and orchestral events are accompanied by generous hospitality, while at the same time raising much needed funds for the church.
